AMEC’S Women Who Lead (WWL) Event: Advice* & Appetizers #4


AMEC’s Women Who Lead Advisory Board in collaboration with Women’s Voices Now

Another evening of career advice and networking, this time focused on giving attorneys and filmmakers an opportunity to provide each other with general advice for finding success in the entertainment industry.

Where: BuzzFeed’s office in Hollywood (1140 N. Citrus Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038)

When: Monday, November 18th at 7:00 PM
(Registration will begin at 6:30 PM)

Registration will be followed by a mini-speed networking session to begin promptly at 7:00 PM.

We’ll then break into smaller groups to be led by accomplished filmmakers and entertainment attorneys (including attorneys-turned-filmmakers and filmmakers-turned-attorneys) who will share their career stories, share their career development tips, and answer your career-related questions.

These speakers include:

2019 Leaders in Law Honoree: General Counsel of the Year – Large Private Company

Claudia Teran took the helm as Fox’s head lawyer this past June, after serving as general counsel for Fox Sports for the past five years. Teran reports to chief legal and policy officer Viet Dinh, who said in a recent statement that Teran is a “whip-smart attorney and proven leader. Her success overseeing business and legal affairs for multiple divisions of the company and proven leadership as Fox Sports General Counsel provide a solid foundation as she significantly expands her role and responsibilities.”

2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees Tony Gonzalez and Johnny Robinson will be presented with their official Hall of Fame rings by Pro Football HOF President and CEO David Baker and Chiefs Chairman & CEO Clark Hunt during a special halftime ceremony on Sunday night (subject to change). Both Gonzalez and Robinson are members of the Chiefs Hall of Fame and both have their names forever recognized in the Arrowhead Stadium Ring of Honor. Baker is also scheduled to serve as Sunday night’s ceremonial First Pass honoree.
