CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:  Firm is seeking up to three litigation associates:  entry level attorney (with prior law clerk and/or law firm litigation experience), junior associate (with minimum of two years of law firm litigation experience), and mid-level associate (with minimum of four years of law firm litigation experience).   Entry level and junior associate will have significant case responsibility and mid-level associate will have full case responsibility and direct client contact for employment matters on behalf of both employees and employers from counseling/advice, pre-litigation investigation through resolution (including negotiation, mediation, and jury trial).  Associates will have regular consultation and appropriate supervision and direction by Managing Partner

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Strong research, writing and communication skills.
  2. Highly motivated and self-starter.
  3. Prior experience with employment disputes including executive compensation and severance, discrimination/retaliation, wrongful termination, FEHA claims, Labor Code violations, and wage and hour disputes. Depositions and court appearance experience highly desired.
  4. Typical tasks include propound and respond to written discovery, draft and respond to pleadings and pre-trial motions, including motions for summary judgement, motions to compel, motions for protective orders, etc.

SUPPORT RESOURCES:  Attorney will receive the support of a strong support staff and advanced automated systems that optimize case efficiency (including Thomson-Reuters’ Firm Central, Form Builder, Drafting Assistant, Westlaw, and other technology resources and solutions).

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Post-COVID, the firm has been operating virtually with firm supplied telecomputing equipment, with full access to closed office space and conferences rooms for depositions and meeting as needed.  Employees must be available during regular business hours for court imposed and client deadlines/meetings/hearings.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:  Competitive salary with an objective hours-based bonus, discretionary performance bonus, and discretionary profit share. Base salary range of $90,000 for entry level attorney, $125,000 for junior associate, and $150,000 for mid-level attorneys, depending on experience.  Additional competitive bonus structure based on performance, hours worked, and other contributions to the firm.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance reimbursement, 401k with employer match, electronic device reimbursement and paid time off.
